To start screen,
type screen and command.


screen [command]


Commands
--------

Common Commands:

screen -S [name]		# Create a new session
screen -ls			# List sessions
screen -r [name]		# Reattach to a session
exit				# Close the session


Common Keyboard Shortcuts:

Ctrl+A D    			Detach from the session
Ctrl+A C    			Create a new window
Ctrl+A N    			Switch to the next window
Ctrl+A P    			Switch to the previous window
Ctrl+A "    			Display the window list


Example
-------

- Start a backup:

$ screen -S backup
$ rsync -av /data /backup


- Detach from the session:

Ctrl+A D

- Log out of the server.


- Later, reattach to the session:

$ screen -r backup
